We're looking for an enthusiastic Radiologic Technologist (RT) to join our team to work both our Logan clinic with occasional shifts in our Brigham clinic. The selected candidate will have experience using diagnostic imaging equipment to help physicians identify illness and injury, explaining procedures to patients, and working in an organized manner with other medical professionals. We are looking for a team player who has a passion for helping people and is capable of staying calm under pressure.
- Responsibilities :
- Be sensitive to patient needs and sufficiently explain to the patient the procedure about to be performed. Alleviate patient anxiety and address any patient concerns.
- Perform radiologic exams that produce quality images
- Ensure proper patient identification and order verification; prepare the patient for the exam
- Follow proper protocols : correct patient positioning, appropriate and effective use of equipment, and adherence to radiation protection guidelines
- Complete all documentation required, including image storage
- Communicate pertinent information to other providers following procedure as needed
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff; ensure that supplies and equipment are stored in an organized and efficient manner
- Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED required, completion of an accredited Radiology Technologist certification program
- AND
- Current Rad Tech (RT) license in the state of Utah
- AND
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare providers
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
