The Hospital Floor Specialist maintains the floors throughout the hospital. Floors are both hard surfaced flooring and carpeted areas. What you will do :

• You will use appropriate tools and equipment to maintain the condition and cleanliness of the floors throughout the hospital. This includes hard surfaced floors and carpeted areas.
• You will operate various floor maintenance and cleaning equipment such as wet and dry vacuums, floor buffers, scrubbers, carpet extractor, manual and electric mop.
• You will identify the best procedure and tools to accurately fulfill your cleaning duties.
• You will have knowledge of various floor procedures such as dust mopping, electric auto moppers, stripping, floor finishing and refinishing. Training will be provided for more complex situations.
• You will appropriately use, handle, and dispose of all chemicals, materials, and waste created.
• You will be interacting with patients, families, visitors, and other hospital staff as you perform your duties.
