How You Will Impact Education

  • Design and deliver engaging blended learning lessons that incorporate digital resources and traditional teaching methods.
  • Monitor student progress through assessments and provide timely feedback to ensure mastery of subject matter.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials aligned with state standards and district goals.
  • Utilize data analytics to tailor instruction to diverse student needs and foster a personalized learning experience.

Instruction / Education Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an instructional program aligned with CSUSA’s philosophy and the adopted course curriculum.
  • Develop intentional, engaging lesson plans using diverse teaching strategies.
  • Deliver subject matter with real-world applications and experiential learning.
  • Analyze student records to tailor instruction and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Aim to enhance educational outcomes for every student.
  • Integrate multiple learning modalities and differentiated instruction; conduct diagnostic assessments and maintain records.
  • Assess student strengths / weaknesses and provide targeted activities; generate progress reports.
  • Refer students to appropriate support services when needed; organize field trips as necessary.
  • Prepare students for state-mandated achievement assessments and stay informed about subject matter and pedagogy; contribute to curriculum development.
  • Familiarize with supplemental services that enhance learning beyond the classroom.

    • Learning Environment and Planning

  • Establish a virtual classroom that fosters learning and aligns with student maturity and interests.
  • Build positive relationships with students and maintain an organized, safe virtual classroom; enforce policies on behavior.
  • Develop clear rules for virtual conduct consistent with organizational guidelines.
  • Develop lesson plans aligned with guidelines and goals; design individual and group activities using appropriate technologies.
  • Prepare thoroughly for classes and collaborate in curriculum planning; integrate IEP diagnostic information into lesson planning.
  • Safeguard supplies, equipment, and materials for effective delivery.

    • School / Community Relations

  • Cultivate cooperative relationships and communicate effectively with parents / guardians as needed.
  • Maintain clear, positive communication with parents; collaborate with administration and staff; uphold confidentiality.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities to promote school culture and support students and staff.

    • Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification in the subject area and grade level.
  • Experience with blended learning models and instructional technology.
  • Strong understanding of elementary school curriculum and assessment practices; excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

    • Job Requirements

  • Experience : Prior virtual teaching or online education experience is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency with LMS, video conferencing tools, and online assessment platforms.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Interpersonal : Ability to build rapport in a virtual learning environment.
  • Organizational : Manage multiple classes, track progress, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional Development : Commitment to ongoing development and staying current with best practices and technology.

    • Work Environment

  • This position will be performed in a POD location, combining in-person and online instruction. Collaboration with a team of educators and support for students in a supportive learning environment.
