Registered Nurse, PRN

Summit Ambulatory Surgical Centers-Towson offers patients high-quality care in a comfortable, private setting. Our surgical staff consists of specialty-trained surgical nurses and board-certified anesthesiologists. We have the latest state-of-the-art equipment and can accommodate a variety of procedures requiring either local or general anesthesia. Because we strive for the highest quality of care, our ambulatory surgery centers are certified by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, which measures the quality of performance of each center and identifies us with the AAAHC symbol of excellence.

The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre or post surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He / she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for all ages from 1 month to geriatric.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing

At least 1 year experience as an RN in a hospital Medical / Surgery or ICU unit

Current RN license in the state

BLS

Current ACLS / PALS preferred or included in education plan

Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment

Prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and unit

Strong communication skills, verbal and written
