Lead Electrical Test Engineer

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Lead Test Engineer for a W2 contract-to-hire job with a client in the Memphis, TN area. This onsite position will lead a team testing hardware.

Base pay range

$40.00 / hr - $50.00 / hr

Rate Range

$40.00 / hour to $50.00 / hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Responsibilities

• Create, document, and execute test cases and test procedures to ensure product functionality, reliability, and compliance.
• Provide on-site test engineering support for production lines, quickly addressing test equipment or process issues to minimize downtime.
• Supervise a team of test engineers / technicians, offering technical guidance, training, and mentoring to build team capability.
• Use Power BI and other tools to analyze test results, track key metrics (yield, FPY, downtime, etc.), and present actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain test scripts, automation tools, and software applications (Python, C / C++, LabVIEW, etc.) to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering teams to review DFx feedback, resolve product issues, and support NPI builds.
• Identify opportunities for process and test system improvements, lead small-scale projects, and implement Lean / Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Prioritize daily workload, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
• Communicate technical findings, risk assessments, and project updates clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and external customers.
