A top Fortune 50 financial institution is currently seeking a Document and Research Liaison to support its consumer lending business unit. This role will serve as the primary representative for research, documentation, and legal case support, ensuring timely and effective resolution of escalated and complex matters.

About the Opportunity :

Shift : 8am to 4 : 30pm ET

Setting : Hybrid (onsite minimum 2 days per week / 8 days per month)

Responsibilities :

Serving as the primary liaison to the Office of General Counsel on legal matters related to consumer lending

Investigating and responding to CFPB and BBB complaints

Researching and analyzing claims, actions, and compliance issues; updating procedures to minimize risk

Requesting documentation from other business units to clarify or resolve cases within mandated timelines

Summarizing depositions and legal proceedings; preparing written summaries, analyses, and documents

Leading responses to escalated legal situations and informing attorneys of case impact

Preparing regulatory, audit, and ad hoc reports in compliance with internal and external requirements

Collaborating with training teams to ensure accurate and consistent procedural guidelines

Identifying process improvements, recommending solutions, and implementing enhancements

Qualifications :

1+ year of experience in a related role

Working knowledge of operational and regulatory risk controls, concepts, and practices

Familiarity with NCUA rules, federal consumer lending laws, and document security measures

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience working with stakeholders at all levels

Advanced skills in legal document analysis, research, and problem-solving

Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to build trust and rapport

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and in team environments

Desired Skills :

Understanding of the financial services environment

Familiarity with Fortune 50 financial institution policies, procedures, products, and services

Experience providing thought leadership and driving process improvements
