About the Role :
As a Validation Test Engineer (VTE), you will plan, develop, and execute system- and component-level testing in our state-of-the-art labs. This is a hands-on role that values creativity, independent judgment, and collaboration across functions. You'll work closely with design engineers, technical specialists, systems engineers, lab integration engineers, and technicians to bring innovative products to market.
This role also offers a growth path to Lead System Test Engineer (LSTE), where you will gain leadership experience, mentor VTEs, and design advanced validation tests and fixtures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, methods, and automation to support validation sign-off.
- Apply analytical tools to the validation process.
- Contribute in an Agile, team-based structure, rotating across assignments including test execution, process innovation, and virtual validation.
- Ensure safety in all lab activities and environments.
- Investigate test anomalies and prepare detailed reports.
- Support root cause analysis and system-level issue resolution.
- Analyze and peer-review test results; contribute to data-driven process improvements.
- Engage in programs from development through launch, supporting validation of production-intent designs.
- Collaborate with component and system validation engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and competitor products.
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, Information Technology, or Chemistry)Required Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years of post-graduation engineering experience.Strong communication and collaboration skills in a diverse team environment.Ability to quickly learn complex system functions (e.g., engines).Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.Proficiency with Inca and / or Puma.Familiarity with lab operations and equipment (e.g., dynamometers, load frames, shakers, chambers, power supplies, fixture design, test automation, lab accreditation standards).Experience with electrical, thermal, or chemical modeling / simulation.Calibration and / or development experience.Strong record of data-driven decision-making.Analytical ability for solving complex, unusual problems.Experience in one or more areas : vehicle / system-level calibration, ICE or transmission development / validation, instrumentation & test automation.Knowledge of reliability and durability calculations.Proven adaptability with program modifications / updates.Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.Work Environment :
Location : Laboratory testing facility (PPE required for site access)Training Period : 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (approx. 4 months)Post-Training : 3rd shift, Sun-Thu, 10 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AMOccasional remote weekend support may be required
