Summary
Sambatek is currently seeking a Project Engineer to work with a team to execute water resources design for transportation and land development projects. As a project engineer, this individual will be responsible for the design and the implementation of hydraulic / hydrologic design, as well as developing and enforcing design best management practices. If hired as a project engineer, you would display entry-level aptitude in the responsibilities outlined below.
- Expected start date : January 2026
- Work Location : Hybrid, in office for training phase
- Expected Compensation Range : $31.25-37.00 per hour (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications)
- Pay Rate Type : Hourly with overtime rate of 1.5x base pay for all hours worked over 40 in a week
Responsibilities
Contribute to transportation and land development projects in preliminary design phase and plan development phaseMeasure, calculate, and tabulate quantities for bidding purposesParticipate in quality review processesPerform CAD drafting in MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads DesignerSupport project production to advance deliverables towards project goals under the direction of task leads or project managers, as part of a collaborative teamComplete and review water resources calculations, modeling, and reportsMaintain existing client relationships by providing exceptional service and quality deliverablesReceive constructive feedback, technical and professional mentoring from senior project engineers, task leads, and project managersWork within a collaborative team that promotes and fosters excellent communication, inter-departmental interaction, and respect for all project team membersRequirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering0-4 years of relevant experience (minimum 3 months previous experience)EIT in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or ability to attain within 6 months)Proficient in basic concepts of hydrologic and hydraulics designAptitude to learn Bentley MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads DesignerBasic knowledge of hydrologic & hydraulic modeling softwarePhysical Demands and Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office environmentAbility to occasionally move equipment / objects weighing up to 10 poundsBenefit Information
