Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Location : Hummelstown, PA 17036 (near Hershey, Pennsylvania)

Healthcare Setting : Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown Unit (PIMCU)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1990-$2130

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (7 : 00am – 7 : 30pm), every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Start Date : October 7, 2025

End Date : January 4, 2026

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Pennsylvania or compact state)

At least 1 year of recent pediatric cardiac stepdown or progressive care nursing experience required; 3 years in Level 1 Trauma Center preferred

Current PALS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

Experience with home ventilators required

Fingerprinting required prior to start date

Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric cardiac stepdown and medicine overflow patients

Float to other pediatric or children’s units as needed and provide 1 : 1 patient sitter support

Monitor and manage pediatric patients requiring home ventilators

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best nursing practices
