Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring safety and comfort every step of the way.
  • Closely monitor fetal and maternal health, interpreting electronic fetal monitoring and responding swiftly to changes.
  • Collaborate alongside obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatal specialists to facilitate smooth, coordinated care transitions.
  • Educate patients and their families on the labor process, delivery, and newborn care to promote positive outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to the highest standards of infection control and safety protocols.
  • Qualifications

  • Valid Texas RN license or compact state eligibility required.
  • Minimum one-two year of recent Labor and Delivery or Women's Services clinical experience preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required; NRP and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification highly desirable.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication skills, and ability to remain calm in fast-paced, emotionally charged situations.
