Business Development Associate
We are seeking a dynamic and multi-talented Business Development Associate to join our team. This role combines elements of business development, proposal management, technical writing, and recruiting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in proposal writing and coordination, experience in business development, technical writing skills, and an understanding of recruiting processes. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities include :
- Leading the development and submission of proposals, including writing, editing, and coordinating input.
- Analyzing RFPs, RFIs / Sources Sought, and RFQs to understand requirements and develop compliant and compelling proposals.
- Collaborating with subject matter experts, technical staff, and other stakeholders to gather information and develop proposal content, as required.
- Developing and managing proposal schedules, ensuring timely submission of all deliverables.
- Creating and maintaining a proposal library and database, ensuring all relevant documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Identifying and researching new business opportunities, including government contracts and commercial projects.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Assisting in the creation and execution of business development strategies and plans.
- Conducting market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
- Preparing and delivering presentations internally and to prospective clients and partners.
- Creating, editing, and maintaining Standard Operating Agreements (SOPs) and technical documents, including white papers, reports, and user manuals.
- Ensuring all technical documentation is clear, concise, and accurate.
- Working with multiple teams to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into accessible language.
- Reviewing and updating existing technical documents to ensure they reflect current practices and standards.
- Coordinating with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for various positions within the company.
- Supporting the recruiting process, including job postings, candidate communication, and interview scheduling.
- Developing and maintaining a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
- Collaborating with HR to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, English, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, business development, and technical writing.Proven track record of successfully managing and winning proposals.Strong technical writing and editing skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with proposal management software.
