Loan Operations Manager
A local Louisiana Community Bank is looking for a Loan Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of the bank's loan operations function, including loan processing, servicing, escrow management, collateral documentation, loan review, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance while supporting the lending team and providing excellent service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership & Oversight
- Manage, train, and develop the Loan Operations staff, ensuring a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Oversee workflow, assign responsibilities, and establish performance standards.
- Loan Processing & Servicing
- Direct day-to-day loan servicing operations, including payments, escrow analysis, tax monitoring, and insurance tracking.
- Ensure timely and accurate loan boarding, payments posting, payoff processing, and escrow disbursements.
- Monitor and resolve loan servicing issues, focusing on regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Compliance & Audit
- Maintain procedures to ensure compliance with bank policies, state and federal regulations (FDIC, OCC, Federal Reserve).
- Serve as the point of contact for internal and external audits, regulatory exams, and loan review activities.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to address findings.
- Operational Efficiency
- Recommend and implement process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Work closely with IT and vendors to ensure loan systems are operating effectively.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Partner with lending officers, credit administration, and compliance teams to support lending initiatives.
- Prepare operational reports and dashboards for executive management.
- Provide training and guidance to lending staff on loan operations policies and systems.
Qualifications :
Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.5+ years of experience in loan operations, loan servicing, or credit administration within banking.2+ years of supervisory or management experience required.Knowledge & SkillsStrong knowledge of loan documentation, escrow analysis, collateral management, and servicing requirements.Thorough understanding of banking regulations (FDIC, OCC, CFPB, RESPA, HMDA, etc.).Proficiency with loan core processing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.This position is detail-oriented and requires strong analysis skills and customer service experience, as you will be speaking with the bank's clientele.
