Join our dynamic team at Heritage Research Group (HRG) as an Intern, where you will play a key role in supporting various engineering projects, including those related to research and development and our operating companies. This role requires initiative, the ability to manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines, and the capability to work effectively in different settings (lab, office, field). Basics of engineering (i.eg., chemical, environmental, mechanical, civil, and / or biological engineering) is required in addition to setting up experiments (i.eg., lab and pilot plant), collecting data, analyzing it and providing recommendations. This position will report to a Project, Senior, or Principal Engineer.
Essential Functions
- Research relevant technology.
- Design experimental testing in the lab / pilot plant.
- Operate lab / pilot plant equipment (i.eg., pumps, flow meters, reactor vessels etc.).
- Collect and analyze data.
- Make recommendations on the conclusions.

Education Qualifications
Required High School or EquivalentPreferred Bachelor's Degree : Current Sophomore or Junior studying chemical engineering, biological engineering, environmental engineering, or related field.Experience Qualifications
Required 1+ years Lab experience.Skills and Abilities
Completed Engineering (minimum Engineering 101) as well as other 100 level Statestics and Chemistry classes.Strong problem solving skills.Experience with mass balance (preferred).Excel and other Microsoft business products (required).Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Work is primarily performed in a laboratory setting, with occasional tasks in office or field environments.Must adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as lab coats, gloves, and safety goggles.Mobility : Frequent standing, walking, and moving around the lab. Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching.Manual Dexterity : Proficiency in handling small tools and laboratory equipment.Communication : Clear verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
