Job Summary :

Pacific Channel Transportation is seeking a Full-Time NIGHT SHIFT CDL (Class A) Driver. As a Bench Driver, you will report in every day and will fill in for any call-outs. If you are not needed on a route that night, you are responsible for helping to load and unload any freight. This role involves the timely pickup, labeling, and delivery of shipments within a 150-mile radius of Portland. MUST HAVE MINIMUM 2 YRS EXPERIENCE DRIVING Class A TRUCKS!

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Ability to work NIGHT SHIFT.
• Our routes depart between the hours of 5 : 00PM and 9 : 00PM so you will start between those hours depending on the route you cover that evening.
• Touch freight - must be able to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack.
• Exceptional customer contact and driving skills.
• Drivers will be required to interact with customers, warehouse leaders and associates and store leaders and associates.
• Drivers will also be expected to systemically update orders via a handheld device.
• Drive a CDL vehicle - 53' Tractor Trailer or 26' Box Truck.
• Communicate delivery updates to customers.
• Load the truck in an efficient manner for unloading and confirm customer orders.
• Climb in and out of delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day.
• Any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

MUST HAVE MINIMUM 2 YRS EXPERIENCE DRIVING Tractor Trailer!

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Valid, active Class A Driver's License.

Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background.

2-years of Non-CDL Driving Experience.

Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.

Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen.

As a CDL Driver, you must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the commitment to succeed.
