Job Summary

This is a flexible / hybrid position that requires you to be based in California. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this individual contributor role is also responsible for serving as investigative support for the Corporate Security Investigations department in Kaiser Permanente, conducting investigations under supervision or in support of other investigators, conducting open source investigations, reviewing and preserving video footage, examining facility access records, and maintaining evidence related to investigations. This position is also responsible for supporting the development and deployment of the Corporate Security Investigations program including the governance, operating rhythm, systems, and tools necessary to execute standardized processes while collaborating within and sometimes across teams.

Essential Responsibilities

Supports the completion of priorities, deadlines, and expectations. Identifies and speaks up for ways to address improvement opportunities.
  • Supports facility access control plan by adhering to guidelines for facilities access control, which may or may not include key control, ID badge management, controlling access to specific areas, locking and unlocking doors, providing emergency and after-hours access as appropriate, providing escorts to sensitive areas, traffic control, and vendor / patient / visitor / personnel access management; and complying with access control plan.
  • Complies with safety and security policies and procedures by using comprehensive, foundational knowledge of safety and security laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards; participates in training programs for area security staff; participates in the execution of department policies; and learns to apply safety and security knowledge and training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in data analytics, open source investigations, or a directly related field.
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Healthcare Management, Criminal Justice, Corporate Security, Security Management, or related field OR minimum two (2) years of experience in Security Management, Hospital Security, Law Enforcement Management, or a directly related field.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Adult CPR / AED Certification.
  • One (1) year experience in health care working with existing and emerging risk factors and mitigation strategies.
