About Our Department

The Surgical Services at North Alabama Medical Center features :

• 15 surgical suites
• 6 Endoscopy Rooms
• 6 private Pre-Admission Testing rooms
• 30 same-day surgery rooms

As an RN, you will :

Utilize your specialized plan-of-care interventions to innovate patient care.

Shape exceptional patient journeys every day with your skills and our cutting-edge technology.

Qualifications and Requirements

To join our team, you should have :

A current state RN license.

Associate's Degree in Nursing (required).

1 to 2 years of experience (preferred).

An active AL or Compact RN License.

ACLS and PALS certifications within 90 days of hire.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will :

Perform assigned duties and patient assessments with ongoing reassessments.

Assess and manage pain effectively using appropriate techniques.

Communicate effectively with patients of all ages and specific needs.

Administer medications safely, following the 6 rights of medication administration.

Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical services.

Educate patients and families on disease processes.
