Overview
Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear & Graphite. This role focuses on graphite systems, high-performance materials, and ASME codes to support next-generation microreactor technology. The engineer will assist in design, analysis, and integration of graphite-based components for operation in extreme environments, prioritizing safety, performance, and long-term durability.
Responsibilities
- Support design, analysis, and integration of graphite-based components under extreme environments.
- Contribute to structural evaluations, supplier qualification, and testing programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across materials, quality, and operations to ensure systems meet demanding nuclear and industry standards.
- Utilize knowledge of ASME codes and graphite applications; experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS or Abaqus) is a plus.
Qualifications
Mechanical engineering experience with graphite systems, mechanical system design, and ASME codes.Experience with or knowledge of ANSYS or Abaqus is a plus.Ability to work with cross-functional teams and support safety, performance, and durability objectives in nuclear-related contexts.Additional information
