About The Position

Job Title : RN Medical / Surgical / Telemetry

Shift : 07 : 00 AM - 07 : 30 PM

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Active RN License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have :

Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.

A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered in the first week of the assignment.

This test must be passed to work on the telemetry / med surg unit.

Description :

Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.

Effectively interacts with the patient and significant others while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.

Provides high-quality care to patient populations including geriatric, medical / surgical, adult, and telemetry.

Telemetry ratios are currently 1 : 4 on days and 1 : 5 on nights.

Med / Surg ratios are currently 1 : 5 on days and 1 : 6 on nights.

Floating is a requirement, including to the emergency department for boarded patients.

If the traveler has critical care experience, they may occasionally float to critical care units.

Every other weekend rotation is required.

Cerner EMR is utilized.
