Travel Nursing Job Details

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel)

Location : Grinnell, Iowa (50112) – Iowa nursing jobs

Employment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Healthcare Setting : Operating Room (OR)

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 26 / 2026)

Shift : Days, Monday – Friday, 06 : 15 – 14 : 45

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,190 - $2,350 per week

On Call : 3 weeknights / week & 1 weekend every 4th or 5th week (holiday rotation included)

Unit Details : 4 beds + 1 suite; Average 10-15 surgical cases / day

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Iowa RN license required

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in same day surgery, pre / post op, operating room (OR), and / or PACU

ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications

EPIC EMR experience (electronic medical records) required

First-time travel nurses accepted (must have OR and PACU experience)

Completed skills checklist within 1 year of submission

One supervisory performance evaluation / reference from the past 2 years

Proof of taxable address (driver’s license, utility bill, lease, etc.)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Deliver pre-operative and post-operative patient assessment and monitoring

Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent surgical needs

Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR

Follow safety protocols and infection control standards

Support and mentor fellow nursing staff
