The Interdisciplinary Studies Program invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach courses in vocation at the undergraduate level.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of adjunct faculty are to :

• Deliver instruction in the manner determined by the department in, but not limited to MINC 200 Introduction to Contemporary Christian Ministries, MIN 300-Writing 3 : Culture and Ministry, and VOC 450-Interdisciplinary Internship. • Preparation of syllabi in compliance with the APU Faculty Guidelines for Undergraduate Course Syllabi.
• Complete an Individual Development Educational Assessment (IDEA) for each course taught.
• Determine student mastery of material and assign final course grades from evaluation of tests, quizzes, homework, and other assignments and activities related to course material. Submit grades according the University procedures and deadlines.
• Adhere to the policies and regulations of Azusa Pacific University as set forth in the Adjunct Contract.

$25.32 - $27.32 / hour (Using a 3 unit full semester appointment as a pay guide). The actual hourly rate will be determined by the units, course length, experience, and rank of the candidate. Adjuncts are paid on an hourly basis which includes preparation and teaching time.
