Java Senior Technical Lead with DevOps, AWS Architecture

The Senior Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing and leading the technical aspects of DevOps solutions, AWS architecture, and Java within the organization. They will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing technical solutions to meet business requirements effectively.

Monitoring and Alerting

  • Design and implement monitoring solutions using AWS native services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and X-Ray.
  • Set up custom metrics, dashboards, and automated alerts to ensure system health and performance.
  • Continuously refine monitoring strategies to align with evolving infrastructure and application needs.

Incident Response and Troubleshooting

  • Lead incident response efforts for AWS infrastructure and services.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain incident logs and post-mortem reports for transparency and learning.

    • Documentation and SOPs

  • Create and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles for operational tasks and incident handling.
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with compliance and audit requirements.
  • Contribute to onboarding materials and training guides for new team members.

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of DevOps solutions, AWS architecture, and Java applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices and AWS services.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on best practices for DevOps and AWS architecture.
  • Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and scalability of applications in the AWS environment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to DevOps and Java applications, providing timely resolution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in DevOps, AWS, and Java development technologies.

    • Skill Requirements

  • Proficiency in DevOps solutions implementation and optimization.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in AWS architecture, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Expertise in Java programming and development, with the ability to write efficient code and troubleshoot issues.
  • Hands-on experience with CI / CD pipelines, containerization tools like Docker, and automation tools like Ansible.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Certifications : AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Developer, Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer.
