Surgical Technologist - Operating Room - Full Time Evening

You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. This is a full time, evening shift position working 11 : 00am-9 : 00pm at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Queens located at 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY.

Preferred Criteria

Prior experience as an OR / Surgical Tech in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire

Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as on O.R. Technician / Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting

High school diploma or GED

Knowledge of Perioperative Nursing Practice & Patient Care
