What You'll Do
As an Estimator, you will own the bidding process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and collaboration every step of the way. In this role, you will :
Review and interpret project specifications to identify requirements and strategies
Collaborate with project teams to develop competitive and winning bid approaches
Create detailed scopes of work and manage subcontractor solicitations using bid management software
Prepare quantity take-offs, conceptual estimates, bid summaries, and cost spreadsheets for projects valued at $5M+
Support operations teams with project logistics, staging, and phasing strategies
Maintain and update cost databases using subcontractor input and production data
Build and strengthen relationships with vendors and subcontractors while expanding networks in new areas
Ensure compliance and accuracy by reviewing bid forms, bid bonds, and supporting documentation
Lead estimating efforts for both public and private sector projects
What We're Looking For
5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction (residential experience not considered)
Proven track record working on projects valued at $5M or more
Ability to develop and expand subcontractor networks in new geographic areas
Strong background in self-perform work, especially concrete and carpentry (preferred)
Proficiency with Timberline, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), and Microsoft Office Suite
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems creatively
