Accounts Payable Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Plantation, Florida. This long-term contract role requires expertise in managing high-volume AP processes, inventory-related invoices, and advanced Excel functionalities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of payments and reconciliation tasks.
Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of accounts payable transactions, including purchase orders and inventory-related invoices.
- Perform 2- and 3-way matching to ensure accuracy in invoice processing.
- Review and code invoices, including tax and freight allocations.
- Post ACH payments and manage online payment entries into NetSuite.
- Conduct detailed reviews of cash runs and dividends to maintain proper records.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Utilize Excel for complex data analysis, including VLOOKUPs and handling intricate spreadsheets.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records for reporting purposes.
- Assist in uploading credit card transactions by formatting raw data for integration into NetSuite.
- Support the team with auditing and reconciliation tasks as needed.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with a focus on high-volume transactions and inventory-related processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate or advanced level, including strong command of VLOOKUPs and complex spreadsheet management.Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP systems is preferred.Proven experience with purchase orders and 2- or 3-way matching techniques.Ability to post ACH payments and manage online payment entries efficiently.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills for resolving vendor and internal team discrepancies.
