As part of HVAC Cooling, SPX Cooling Technologies is a leader in high quality industrial HVAC equipment used to cool large facilities like hospitals, data centers, and power plants. With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.

JOB SUMMARY

The positions will be responsible for assisting the supervisors in leading the team, coaching team members on manufacturing practices, and training team members in the fabrication of water cooling towers. The position will also include some job assignments around the facility, including welding and millwright work. The position may assume additional duties as assigned. The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, work well in a team atmosphere, coach and train others, and be able to complete appropriated computer and paperwork.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read, understand, train to, and improve Build Orders
• Mechanical aptitude to be able to build, set, and toque mechanical geareducer / motor systems
• Welding and Modifying aptitudes to weld, plasma cut, and service applicable equipment
• Knowledge in reading blueprints, sketches, or build plans for information pertaining to part and material requirements, dimensions of the structure or fixture
• Ability to train, coach, and work with others to ensure safety and quality build of water cooling towers
• Knowledge or mobile equipment and overhead cranes to be able to safely operator and train other to safely operator
• Ability to lead others and act as fill in supervisor
• Other facilities, production, or millwright activities as requested
