Medical Assistant Leadership Role
Provides leadership, expertise, support, and training to Medical Assistants and Ambulatory Care Assistants. Performs basic nursing skills, and / or serves under the direction and supervision of the practice physician and / or registered nursing staff.

Core Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms; prepares for physician visit by obtaining initial information and vital signs.
2. Prepares exam rooms for patients with attention to cleanliness and availability of supplies.
3. Assists with and / or performs exams, tests, and procedures.
4. Schedules appointments and sets up referral contacts as needed.
5. Assists provider during patient examinations and procedures.
6. Educates patients on follow up expectations.
7. Maintains quality control testing logs as required.
8. Ensures all medical equipment is in proper working condition.
9. Assists patients with completion of medical documentation.
10. Serves as main point of contact for back office and clinical staff.
11. Provides direction and guidance to staff M.A.'s and ACA's.
12. Serves as the primary training facilitator for onboarding new M.A.'s and ACA's.
13. Provides supervision to staff in absence of Supervisor / Manager.
14. Assists in scheduling of staff.
