Summary
Job Summary :
Serves as the Family Practice Physician / Medical Director for the Health Center. Provides general diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic services in an ambulatory clinic setting. Offers clinical oversight and professional guidance to medical staff to ensure continuity of care. Collaborates with the Director of Health & Social Services on clinic operations, including goal setting, budgeting, and program development. Works with the Business Office Manager to ensure fiscal stewardship related to medical billing.
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive primary care, including urgent care, preventive services, and chronic disease management.
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation.
- Refer patients to appropriate specialists or facilities as needed.
- Oversee clinical staff, including supervision, credentialing, and peer review.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols.
- Provide leadership in clinical program development and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with allied health professionals for interdisciplinary care.
- Participate in monthly chart reviews and quality assurance initiatives.
- Address clinical performance, patient satisfaction, and staffing issues.
- Provide oversight of pharmacy, lab, and medical consultants.
- Maintain compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements.
