You'll play a crucial role in providing life-saving respiratory therapy services and support to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Under the guidance of a physician, you'll make a real difference in patient care across all service areas and populations.
Sign-On Bonus :
We’re excited to offer a sign-on bonus to qualified candidates :
- $12,000 for candidates with 0–1 year of experience
- $20,000 for candidates with 1+ years of experience
Bonus amounts are subject to a 2-year work commitment. The final candidate will be placed in the appropriate title and pay rate depending on education and experience
Responsibilities :
Evaluate medical orders and interpret clinical data to optimize patient care.Set up and operate respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring treatment parameters are met and equipment functions safely.Assist in transporting ventilated patients and respond to code situations.Maintain patient charts and order equipment repairs as needed.Demonstrate respiratory care procedures to trainees and supervise students.Assess patient condition, determine treatment requirements, and monitor physiological responses.Perform pulmonary function tests and consult with physicians on adverse reactions.
Graduate of a Co ARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved Respiratory program required Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required Basic Life Support or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation required Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required Respiratory therapists who receive their RRT credential from the NBRC after July 1, 2002 are required to maintain certification under the NBRC requirementsLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
