Position Summary : This position works 2nd Shift hours, typically from 2 : 00 pm to 10 : 30 pm Tuesdays through Saturdays. Performs work order requests, preventative maintenance and repairs on-campus buildings, mechanical equipment, light bulb replacements, and utility systems. They also back up custodians as needed. Responds to emergency events, plumbing backups, and many other assigned tasks. Jack of all trades type of position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Remove trash, recycling & debris around campus
• Work order-driven; team & individual assignments
• Answer maintenance calls, troubleshoot issues, contact other on-call trades for urgent issues.
• Ability to lift, climb ladders and work from heights.
• Setup & teardown tables, chairs, event equipment as directed.
• Assists other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
• Safely operate all vehicles and other job-related equipment.
• Snow Removal during Shift
• Remove / Install window screens, prepping seasonal buildings for opening or closing.
• Preventative maintenance work orders on Utility systems
• Performs other duties as assigned, which can include special projects, minor building maintenance, mail delivery / pickup and assistance with Integrated Pest Management
• Seeks the best use of materials, equipment and staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Complies with ICA policies / procedures and acts as a good steward of ICA finances.
