PE Licensed Electrical Engineer

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a PE Electrical Engineer for a company in Bessemer, AL. In this role you will work closely with the Sales team, Engineers, Revit / CAD operators, and production personnel to complete projects within the production schedule. This position will require high attention to detail and accuracy, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and staff.

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday

7 : 00am-4 : 30pm

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively interpret blueprints / technical drawings
  • Utilize Revit / CAD software to review and enhance drawings
  • Ensure electrical designs comply with product specifications and codes
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary for production needs

Qualifications and Requirements

  • B.S in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering License in the state of Alabama
  • Capable of designing and troubleshooting simple and complex electrical systems
  • Knowledge and experience in industrial / commercial electrical design for AC / DC systems necessary to support protective relay and / or communications equipment.
  • Knowledge of protective relaying schematics and / or prior control building or communication shelter design experience.
  • Ability to interpret project specifications and deliver a compliant design package, accurate bill of materials, and other technical detail drawings
  • The ability to perform design quality reviews and work with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience drafting electrical design work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and staff
  • Self-starter, and the ability to work with minimal directions to achieve project submittal deadlines
