Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with a NYS DOH license (or active application) and at least 1 year of CT experience to provide coverage at a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma teaching facility.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work across inpatient, outpatient, mobile, and emergency department settings
  • Level 1 trauma center and teaching hospital with 700 beds across 2 campuses
  • Perform all types of CT exams, including head, pelvis, trauma, cardiac imaging, and CT angiograms
  • Utilize GE Revolution, GE Discovery, and Toshiba Quillion1 CT scanners
  • Night shift position working from 12 : 00 AM to 8 : 00 AM
  • Every other weekend coverage required
  • Responsible for performing a full range of CT procedures, including trauma and specialized cardiac imaging
  • Must adhere to dress code : matching solid-color scrubs (no patterns), closed-toe shoes, and proper grooming for fit-testing
  • Long hair must be tied back and beards trimmed as required for fit-testing
  • No chipped nail paint and no excessive jewelry permitted
  • Staff may experience high-acuity trauma cases typical of a teaching facility
  • Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a reduced rate

  • Current NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist License (or documentation of completed application at consideration); license required if applicable
  • Registered Technologist (R.T.) (R) (CT) with ARRT
  • NYS Injection / IV Certification required (candidates may take the IV cert course prior to start and apply for NYDOH BERT certification; physician skills sign-off possible)
  • Current BLS certification from AHA
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required; 2 years preferred
  • Two recent professional references from previous managers
