American Traveler seeks an experienced Level III NICU RN with delivery attendance and Epic experience for night shifts and weekend rotation.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Level III NICU within a hospital settingNight shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts per week from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15Care for neonatal ICU patients with patient ratios of 1 : 2-3Float required to normal newborn nursery (NOU) with ratios of 1 : 4-6 when neededDelivery attendance required for both vaginal and C-section birthsExpected to work every other weekendRequired to cover at least one major and one minor holidaySelf-scheduling availableUses Epic EMR and Epic experience is mandatoryResponsible for the admission, care coordination, and discharge of neonates in the NICU and NOUWork closely with a multidisciplinary team including NNPs, MDs, RNs, social services, respiratory therapy, radiology, occupational therapy, and othersEducate and update parents, and assist new mothers with breastfeedingRequired to wear grape or purple scrubsMust reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates within this radius will be considered at a local pay rateAny previous permanent employee at an LCMC facility must be separated for a minimum of one year to be eligibleModules must be completed prior to start and are managed by the facility’s education department\n \n Requirements\n
Active LA or Compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 3 years of Level III NICU nursing experience requiredCurrent BLS and NRP certifications requiredEpic charting experience requiredStrong neonatal IV placement and lab draw skills requiredExperience managing ventilators and central lines requiredAbility to attend and assist at deliveries requiredMust have experience in administration of various medications and use of blood productsAssisting with procedures such as chest tube, PICC, UAC / UVC, x-rays, CBG / ABGs, ultrasounds, intubation, nitric oxide, and exchange transfusionsNo first-time travelers will be considered for this position\n Benefits\n
