Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders.
Senior Director of Clinical Services Overview
The Senior Director of Clinical Services will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Melmark Model of Program Development and Clinical Treatment. The position will ensure the integrity of clinical service delivery across Children’s Services and will take a lead role in the advancement of evidence based clinical systems at the Melmark PA site. This position will work in concert with the Chief Clinical Officer and Executive Director to establish a clinical system of care that adheres to the standards of excellence within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis demonstrating the least restrictive yet most effective treatment approach.

Requirements
Doctorate level behaviorist / psychologist with degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or Organizational Behavior ManagementBoard Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) certification required or board eligible.A valid US driver’s license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old. Must be capable of attaining approved Melmark driver status.Minimum of ten to fifteen (10-15) years of experience in clinical service delivery and supervision within public or approved private school settings and in implementing evidence-based procedures for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism and challenging behaviors.Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years experience in program management, supervising and training staff, skills in human resources, budget management and running residential, educational or clinical systems.Senior Director of Clinical Services Responsibilities
Oversees the implementation of the Melmark Model of Program Development and Clinical Treatment across children’s services.Actively remains proficient in professional practice and bringing research to practice within the applied setting and insures treatment efficacy within Melmark by recommending scientifically validated most effective treatment procedures.Works in concert with all Senior Directors and senior personnel in the implementation of Melmark’s Strategic Plan.Oversees the development of operating Clinical Manuals across Children’s Services, the Children’s Behavioral Health program (RTF) and Adult Services.Oversees the implementation and training of Melmark’s Functional Analysis Training Curriculum across all services.In accordance with best clinical practice reviews current functional analysis protocol, updates accordingly, and plays lead role with the Functional Analysis Task ForceServes as a Senior Administrator for on-call responsibilities.Acts as a working clinical supervisor / consultant across programs to assist with challenging individuals.Chairs and monitors the delivery of the Senior Clinical Case Review System for designated individuals across service centers with significant behavior challenges.Clinically supervises the Clinical Director of Children’s Residential Services.In conjunction with the Clinical Director of Children’s Residential Serviced and Education Leadership, oversees the clinical operation and implementation of the weekly Children’s Behavioral Health Program (RTF) Clinical Rounds.Assists the Director of Children’s Residential Services and Director of Children’s RTF to define and implement clinical standards and the quality performance measures and standards for the Children’s Behavioral Health Program at Melmark.Assists with assessment of all potential referrals to the Children’s Programs.Works in concert with the Director of Professional Development and Training in the design of clinical training systems across all service areas.Works in collaboratively with prescribers and behavior analysts in assessing the role of medication through the IRT process. Assists with designing and developing new program initiatives.Serves as a senior member of Melmark’s Research Committee.Participates in applied research projects as available.Serves on appropriate Melmark committees and Task Forces per request of the Executive Director and Chief Clinical Officer.Senior consultant for designated individuals (provides clinical observation and recommendations for these individuals) per the direction of Chief Clinical Officer.Serves as clinical supervisor / mentor for students in BCBA program and assists with assessing the BCBA training curriculum.Benefits
