  • We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance & Repair Technician to ensure our gym remains safe, clean, and fully operational. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairing fitness equipment, and addressing general facility upkeep needs. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities :

    • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on gym equipment (treadmills, bikes, weights, machines, etc.) to ensure safety and functionality.
    • Troubleshoot and repair fitness equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and structural issues.
    • Maintain facility systems (lighting, plumbing, HVAC filters, doors, lockers, etc.) as needed.
    • Monitor and address safety hazards or maintenance concerns promptly.
    • Coordinate with outside vendors / contractors for major repairs for specialized services.
    • Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment servicing.
    • Maintain a clean, organized workshop and storage area for tools and supplies.
    • Assist with setup, assembly, and installation of new equipment.
    • Respond to urgent repairs quickly to minimize downtime.
    • Qualifications :

    • Previous maintenance, repair, or handyman experience (preferably in a gym, fitness center, or similar facility).
    • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
    • Ability to read equipment manuals and follow safety / maintenance procedures.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
    • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and handling gym equipment.
    • Reliable, self- motivated, and detail oriented.
    • Availability for occasional after-hours or emergency repairs.
    • CPR Certified.
    • Preferred :

    • Experience repairing commercial fitness equipment.
    • OSHA or safety certification(s).
    • Trade school or technical training background.
    • Work Schedule :
    • Part Time
    • 15-20 hours a week
    • Flexible Schedule
    • Gym hours Mon - Thurs 4am - 11pm, Fri 4am - 8pm, Sat & Sun 6am - 7pm
