Position Specific Description
The Utility Scale Energy Storage team is looking for an innovative and dynamic Project Engineer who is passionate about renewable energy. In this position you will be heavily involved with battery augmentation projects from conception through execution, to include exposure to cross-functional teams across the NextEra Energy Resources organization. You have the critical responsibility of planning, designing, and executing multiple energy storage augmentation projects. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, engineering oversight and consulting across cross functional teams to deliver a best-in-class product. You will be part of a growing team of experts who not only provide excellent data-driven inputs and analysis but are also customer service oriented with internal and external stakeholders.
Employees in this role are strong problem solvers, blending creative and analytical skills to solve complex integration of batteries of differing technologies to existing sites. Successful candidates will have acute attention to detail with proven abilities to identify and apply lessons learned, implement process countermeasures, create tools and standardize work practices to maximize the performance and functionality of battery energy storage systems. You will utilize data from various internal and external sources to perform technical due diligence and propose storage & hybrid solutions to support our customers' evolving needs. As a support function, you will work collaboratively across the organization to support design, construction and commissioning.
