About The Position

We are seeking a Medical Oncologist in Illinois for a 36-day locum tenens assignment starting on Nov 3, 2025. This position involves day shifts, Monday through Friday, with no weekend coverage required, focusing on direct patient care and coordination within a multidisciplinary cancer team.

Job Details

  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8-10 hour shifts starting at 7 : 30 AM

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide direct patient care including consultations, admissions, and follow-up care.
  • Conduct hospital rounds as needed.
  • Collaborate with the in-practice Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for consults, follow-ups, orders, and patient management.
  • Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary cancer team.
  • Provide coverage when the PRN Medical Oncologist is not on-site.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible candidates required.
  • Must possess a valid Illinois medical license.
  • DEA and CSR licenses required.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) necessary.
  • Proficiency with the Epic EMR system is essential.
