DESCRIPTION
Adjunct Instructors are temporary, part-time faculty. Antelope Valley College invites applications for our applicant pool for the Accounting discipline.
As an instructor in the growing Career Technical Education division, you will become a member of a student-oriented division whose primary focus is helping students attain their career goals. Your teaching assignment may include a variety of accounting / business courses including, but not limited to : accounting, bookkeeping, business math, and introduction to business.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Instruct students in the assigned discipline.
Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, on-line courses and / or off-campus sites.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(Applicant must meet one of the following requirements)
Master's in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration OR Bachelor's in business with accounting emphasis or business administration with accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis AND Master's in business, business administration, business education, economics, taxation, or finance OR the equivalent. (NOTE : A Bachelor's degree in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration, with a CPA license is an alternative qualification for this discipline)
AND Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic background of community college students.
