Position Details
- Location : Space Coast, FL (Relocation : Available)
- Shift : D Shift — Friday to Sunday, 5pm–5am (3x12)
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, and supports Manufacturing and Supply Chain across all Blue Origin facilities. The Manager of Manufacturing Ops & Assembly leads aerospace component production processes, driving operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration to continually enhance manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and optimize manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency and quality.Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery schedules.Mentor manufacturing teams, foster teamwork, and share information to promote unity.Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to address manufacturing challenges; balance daily activities with strategic planning.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and metrics.Monitor production performance and provide updates to senior management, considering business drivers and industry changes.Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards; take initiative on opportunities and challenges with urgency and enthusiasm.Manage budget and resource allocation for manufacturing activities.Support new product introductions and scale-up production capabilities.Evaluate inputs and criteria to make informed decisions with focus on decision quality.Team Focus & Domain Expertise
The GS1 Final Integration team at Blue Origin oversees the integration of the GS1 booster components (avionics, fluids systems, mechanical assembly, engine integration, etc.) and prepares the vehicle for handoff to the Integration Facility for launch.
Minimum Qualifications
1+ years of experience managing a team within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.5+ years of experience as an individual contributor within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, military, or equivalent experience.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.Ability to lift 50 lbs and comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.Preferred Qualifications
Industry certification, trade-school training, or degree in a related field.Experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or related field.Experience with fluid systems and applied chemistry fundamentals.Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and tools (e.g., CAD, ERP).Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks.Familiarity with regulatory compliance in aerospace manufacturing.Proven track record of leadership and project management.Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles; Lean or Six Sigma certification.Willingness to work overtime.Culture & Equal Opportunity
