Job Summary
Interim HealthCare of Indianapolis is looking for a full time contract Nuclear Medicine Technician in the Lafayette, Indiana area to perform nuclear medicine procedures with at least 2 year of experience . The position pays a competitive hourly rate of $58 / hr.

Responsibilities
Perform manual and automated testing procedures in accordance with safe radiation practicesPrepare and monitor patients for diagnostic imaging proceduresFollow radiation safety and protection protocolsMonitor nuclear medicine procedures to ensure accurate dosage of radiopharmaceuticalsMaintain radiation safety in compliance with applicable laws and regulationsMonitor and maintain radiation levels in the testing areaPerform and document routine maintenance on nuclear medicine equipmentRequirements
Requires active status through one of the following : American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) : Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) or Nuclear Medicine, RT(NM); or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) : Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.Requires current Indiana State Department of Health license as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
