Management Analyst 5 (MA5)

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is looking for a Management Analyst 5 to bring expertise in accounting, federal reporting, and cost allocation to support the Early Learning Cost Allocation and Federal Grants team. The Opportunity (Management Analyst 5) : Here in DCYF's Cost Allocation and Federal Grants section we serve the mission! DCYF's mission is to protect children and strengthen families so they flourish. Finance is fundamental to the agency achieving its strategy. Are you the right person to have at the table? Bring your expertise in accounting, federal reporting, and cost allocation to support the Early Learning Cost Allocation and Federal Grants team.
In this role, you'll ensure federal grants comply with both federal regulations and state requirements. Establishing and documenting processes, policies and procedures that are efficient and effective. The Management Analyst 5 (MA5) manages multiple complex finance related projects simultaneously, analyzes, interprets, and provides guidance to DCYF staff on federal grants managed by the Cost Allocation and Federal Grants team, and ensures costs are appropriately allocated to available funding sources while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications :
Nine years of relevant professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Relevant experience includes experience in accounting, payroll, finance, or closely related field.
OR
A Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting, AND five years of relevant professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Professional experience may substitute for education, but not for the credit hours.
