ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Putnam, Connecticut

ICU RN Job Details

Location : Putnam, Connecticut 06260 (Connecticut nursing jobs)

Facility : Acute care hospital – 6-bed Intensive Care Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 29 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am), every other weekend required

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1990–$2130

Charting System : Cerner Corporation - MedSeries4

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Connecticut or ability to obtain temporary Connecticut RN license (Connecticut RN jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (critical care nurse experience)

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)

Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification

Current ACLS certification

NIHSS certification

Current NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire

ICU RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a 6-bed ICU setting

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding to abnormal patterns

Demonstrate expertise in hemodynamic monitoring, equipment troubleshooting, and accurate documentation

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes

Maintain timely and precise documentation using Cerner MedSeries4

Participate in ongoing professional development and adhere to hospital and nursing policies
