Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day - 5x8, 5 : 00 AM - 1 : 00 PM, 40 hours per week

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years

License : Required to submit

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS

Must-Have : 1 year of experience with moderate sedation. ERCP experience is preferred but not mandatory. Open to first-time travelers.

Job Description :

• Perform moderate sedation during GI cases.
• Pre and post-care for GI patients, including moderate sedation during procedures.
• Manage cases on a hybrid ambulatory care center with 5 beds.
• Pre Admission Testing and preoperative procedures for OR patients.
• Utilize the Cerner Power Chart - Surginet for EMR.
• Cover various shifts such as 5 : 30 AM - 2 PM, 9 AM - 5 : 30 PM, 10 : 30 AM - 6 PM, and 11 AM - 7 PM based on case requirements.
• Work every other weekend, and possibly more. Participate in the holiday schedule with 24-hour call.
• Call requirements vary based on unit needs, with weekday hours from 2 : 30 PM - 5 : 30 AM and weekend hours generally once per month from Saturday 7 AM - Monday 5 : 30 AM.
• Assist with Pre-op, admission testing, and recovery of common GI cases such as upper and lower GI Peg tubes, and ERCPs done in the main OR.
• Experience with blood transfusion and special procedures like paracentesis.
• Be flexible and willing to float between ambulatory care and GI settings.
• Be prepared for floor-specific orientation averaging 2-3 shifts.
• Engage in a team environment without nurse aides and with charge nurses taking patient assignments.

Note : The hospital may cancel up to three times per contract, with each cancellation potentially being a full or partial shift.
