(911 DISPATCH) Telecommunicator (Part-time)

SALARY : $17.63 per hour

GRADE : 64

DESCRIPTION OF WORK : Work involves receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency E911 calls for Sherriff, Police, Fire and EMS / Rescue as well as other related County services. Applicant must have the ability to deal tactfully with the public. NOTE : Rotating 12-hour shifts, nights, holidays and weekend work is required. Required Certifications or ability to obtain within 12 months : CPR, Emergency Medical Dispatch and certification by the State of North Carolina as a DCI Operator.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Preferred applicant will have relevant training beyond a high school diploma with experience in communication dispatch work which provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities to function effectively as a Telecommunicator.
