The Registered Nurse in the High Acuity Surgical Decision Unit (SDU) is responsible for delivering patient care to a diverse population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients. This role requires a robust set of assessment and clinical skills, proactive response to patient needs, and a commitment to patient satisfaction and safety. Nurses in this unit will also focus on education and support for patients pre- and post-surgery while maintaining comprehensive documentation in accordance with established guidelines.
