Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic

đź“Ť Location : Bridgeport, WV

💰 Pay Range : $30 – $35 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking skilled Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanics to join our team in Bridgeport, WV . In this role, you will perform heavy maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections on CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet) and Challenger aircraft .

This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Former military aircraft maintenance professionals are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet) and Challenger aircraft .
  • Carry out detailed inspections, modifications, and component replacements in compliance with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) , OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) , and company standards.
  • Complete maintenance records, logbooks, and work cards accurately.
  • Ensure all work meets safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet maintenance deadlines.
  • Provide and maintain a personal set of tools for daily use.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of overall experience as an Aircraft Technician.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet) or Challenger airframes .
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License strongly preferred. Candidates holding an FAA Airframe (A) License will also be considered, with Airframe certification prioritized over Powerplant certification if both are not present.
  • Must own and maintain a complete set of tools.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts , including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Preferred :
  • MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) / heavy maintenance experience.
  • Military aircraft maintenance background (Depot, Isochronal, or Phase inspections).
