Traveling Construction Superintendent

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Traveling Superintendent responsible for coordinating construction activities and supervising field personnel at job sites located outside the local region, including out-of-state projects. This role is essential to ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Duties

• Collaborate with Project Managers to obtain permits, update schedules, and maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, ensuring efficient and safe execution of work.
• Direct and supervise trade workers while maintaining compliance with safety programs, building codes, and industry standards.
• Oversee material quality, workmanship, and installation per specifications.
• Prepare and manage three-week look-ahead schedules.
• Lead weekly subcontractor meetings for planning, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for coordination of work.
• Document daily jobsite activities and maintain accurate records.
• Manage challenges related to delays, weather, or site emergencies.
• Oversee project closeout, including punch lists and final acceptance.
• Support jobsite administration, including meeting agendas, subcontractor meetings, and distribution of minutes.
