Responsibilities Work in the Neuro ICU unit of a hospital setting Care for patients with stroke, neurosurgery, neuro-specific diagnoses, complications, and complex spine cases Perform specialized procedures including EVD placement and therapeutic thermoregulation Night shifts, typically 3x12 or 4x12 (18 : 45-07 : 15), with 4x12 available by request 13-week assignment standard, with the option to extend up to 52 weeks by request Travelers may be required to float within scope as needed Must be able to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, with two holidays during the winter holiday season (Thanksgiving, Christmas / Christmas Eve, NYE / New Year's) Christmas RTO cannot be approved Local candidates living within 100 miles are not accepted, with exceptions for those 50-99.9 miles away limited to one 13-week assignment with no extension Previous employees must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible as travelers Travelers may not return after 365 days of work on assignment, with limited exceptions Orientation modules provided, with up to 5 hours for core modules and 2 hours for Epic training Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required Prior neuro nursing experience required Recent experience in large Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility required Epic EMR experience required Two professional references required for consideration Must provide copies of Driver's License and Social Security card Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627110.
