Forklift Operator

Our client is a family-owned, local producer and distributor of fine-quality, domestic and imported hardwood and softwood lumber. They are well known for their high-quality work, customer service, and value. SUMMARY : This role involves operating forklifts to move, load, and unload lumber, assisting with general yard duties, by being reliable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious.

PAY : $22 / hr for well qualified candidates

SCHEDULE : Monday - Friday 6 am - 2 : 30 pm

DUTIES

• Safely operate forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
• Stack and organize materials for easy access and inventory control.
• Bands lumber products for storage or shipping
• Assist customers and drivers in locating and loading products and materials.
• Perform regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by picking up debris, sweeping, and ensuring materials are properly stored.
• Assist with inventory counts and reporting shortages or damages to management.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned, be flexible and adaptable to changes that will occur

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $22.00 Per Hour
