ACCOUNTANT IV-HEALTH INSURANCE BILLING - 50950010
The incumbent performs duties involving the independent application of revenue management skills, billing activities, and other fiscal related matters. The Accountant IV incumbent is responsible for performing claims processing, posting payments, and collection activities of the State Veterans' Homes. The position includes producing and maintaining monthly billing for all Medicare A&B, Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, 3rd party commercial insurers, and other payors, including residents for the State Veterans' Homes. The role also includes reviewing and monitoring resident account information, posting of all payor payments, work, correct, resolve, and collect accounts in the aging reports, responsible for the collection of current and aging accounts, maintaining clean and up-to-date billing and collection reports, compiling and preparing reports to verify the accuracy of monies collected, analyzing 3rd party and any other payor credit balances, monitoring billing and collection reports, conducting billing-related quality assurance activities, and performing other duties as directed.
Salary : $42,034.46 plus current Competitive Area Differential (CAD) of $644.80 annually paid bi-weekly.
