BMS Federal is a Commercial and Government Mechanical Contractor located in Manassas, VA, seeking a full-time Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technician with knowledge of Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration systems to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, sharp individual who is detail-oriented and has a strong will to learn.

POSITION OVERVIEW :

The HVAC Technician is responsible for performing installs, repairs, and maintenance to a variety of equipment including refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, and packaged units throughout the district. This individual will directly assist our Commercial and Federal Building Project Managers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Analyze, Plan, and Perform Preventive Maintenance of HVAC System
• Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to the HVAC System
• Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory statutes
• Maintain maintenance records as required by City, State, and EPA regulations
• Order and maintain parts needed to repair and maintain HVAC Equipment
• Manage relationship with all major vendor accounts
• Properly maintain and safeguard district assets
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair Commercial Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Systems, including Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Heat Pumps, Rooftop Units, Chilled Water Heating and Cooling
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration systems to determine the cause of the malfunction
